Origin

Tabriz, in Iran's northwestern region, is the country's second-oldest city and has been at the heart of the rug-making industry for hundreds, if not thousands, of years. Because of the sheer magnitude of the Tabriz rug industry, design and quality vary widely. It is one of the oldest rug weaving centres in the world, producing a wide range of carpets. Tabriz boasts one of the most diversified collections of designs, ranging from medallions and Herati/Mahi to figural, pictorial, and even three-dimensional rugs. Tabriz Rugs are available in the combination of Shiraz, Spicy Mix, and Dawn Pink colors.

Rug Description

• A majestic hand knotted wool Tabriz rug that comes with beautiful grand medallion on a red field. The multicolour medallion has beautiful primary colours of royal blue & beige, while others colours such as green, red & coral pink are adding to the richness of the central field.
• The dominating red field has beautiful allover floral and abstract motifs. The corner beige borders and royal blue & coral outer border also have all over motifs and match the colours of the central medallion. 
• In terms of its richness & exuberance, this is a typical Tabriz rug. The size of the rug is 9.6 x 6.8 feet.
• The colours used for the thread are made from natural dyes that are extracted from vegetables.
• PCI count of the rug is 150 x 90.
